Mike's Restaurant began in Montreal, Canada in 1967 by the Italian Merrano brothers. As the first submarine chain, Mike's made 'an extremely good sandwich'. The menu evolved, and pizza and sautéed pastas were added. Their community involvement was a big factor in the success and growth of the restaurant. Presently, the restaurant has successfully grown to over 120 locations, with Las Vegas chosen as their first U.S. destination.

Il Fornaio originally began as an Mike's management team consists of David Olson, Director of Restaurant Operations, Elki Imbeault, Project Manager, and Gabor Bencze, Direct of Kitchen Operations. New to the area, they have relocated to Las Vegas and are excited about building their relationship with the community.

Customers come first at Mike's. They have always been known as a neighborhood restaurant, knowing their customers by name, and becoming involved in the community. Mike's charitable donations have involved nearby schools, church fund-raisers, and local charities.

Mike's offers something for everyone. As you walk into the attractive restaurant, the warm, rich wood tones, wrought iron, brick and stone, provide a cozy atmosphere. The center of the restaurant features a welcoming bar area to gather for happy hour and watch your favorite sporting events. Beer and wine is all available by the glass. If you have a special event, contact the restaurant. Mike's can accommodate parties up to 50 guests, or rent the restaurant for up to 200 guests.

Their widely varied menu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner specialties. The breakfast menu includes over 40 fantastic choices, including breakfast pizzas! Imagine the hearty Lumberjack Pizza with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheeses and Hollandaise sauce served with fresh fruit, and fresh cut home fries. There are also traditional brunch choices like eggs, breakfast focaccia with an omelet, French crepes, waffles, frittatas, And more.

The pizza is spectacular at Mike's. It comes in three varieties-sunshine, gourmet, and traditional. The sunshine pizza is the showstopper and has a wonderfully shaped pointed crust. It comes in tasty varieties like BBQ Chicken, Shrimp and Pesto, Margarita, and more. I sampled the mouth-watering vegetarian Field of Dreams pizza, showcasing artichoke hearts, broccoli, mushrooms, olives, sun dried tomatoes, pesto and roasted red peppers. It was excellent! Mike's menu is filled with many mouthwatering choices. Guests can begin with starters like bruschetta, chicken wings, soups or salads. The homemade honey-mustard salad dressing is deliciously different, with a mild kick from just the right amount of fresh horseradish. Pick from sandwiches, hot Italian subs, pastas or items from the grill. Burgers, steaks, prime rib, and Cajun salmon are outstanding options.

On the children's menu, you will find pizza, spaghetti, veggies and dip, soups, salads and more. A favorite is the fruity, frozen Mikaritas.

Fabulous dessert choices include the Extreme Chocolate Cake, Pecan Pie, Passion Fruit Cheesecake and Tiramisu to name just a few. You'll love the Profiteroles, scrumptious cream puffs in a sweet, syrupy pastry, coated with chocolate sauce.
