Can you believe it? Julia Roberts and I share something in common! Is it great acting abilities? No, although I was hailed by the critics for my portrayal of a tree in my second grade school play. Do we both share extraordinary writing techniques? Nah, that's not it. Good looks? Well, it is true, we are both quite good looking, but the fact is we both agree that Mimmo Ferraro's, 5900 W. Flamingo, has the best Gnocchi in town! Besides the scrumptious Gnocchi, Mimmo Ferraro's offers a superb menu, a wine cellar with over 150 selections of wine, a piano bar and nightly entertainment, all in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

When you visit Mimmo Ferraro's you'll see why they were awarded the prestigious Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, a 5-Star Dining Award, and the DiRona Award.

"We are a family restaurant with a great team," proudly boasts Mimmo Ferraro. Our recipes have been handed down from generation to generation from my grand-mother Teresa, my Mother Rosalba and my Father Gino. We've added a couple of twists to some dishes over the years, but the bottom line is that we spare no expense on our quality and it shows in our food," concluded Mimmo.

The house specialty and signature dish is the Award-Winning Osso Buco, which is a Veal Shank in Burgundy Sauce with a side of Fettuccine. It melts in your mouth! The Antipasti includes Carpaccio, Calamari, Mozzarella Caprese, Prosciutto and a tasty Scampi Marechiaro with three jumbo shrimp. Salads include a class Cesare, Ferraro salad, Spinaci Nani that is Baby Spinach and Roasted Pine Nuts tossed in Raspberry Vinaigrette. A tasty start to your meal! Besides Julia's favorite, and mine, Gnocchi, try another tasty pasta dish like Fusilli con Aragosta which is Corkscrew shaped Pasta with diced 8oz. Lobster Tail, Peas, and Sun-Dried tomatoes topped with a light Cognac Sauce or Ravioli Alla Panna which is Ravioli filled with Porcini Mushrooms, Parmigiano Cheese in a Pancetta Alfredo sauce. There are a few new selections such as Fettuccine Con Zafferano E Gamberi and Tortelloni Siena. Delicious! Let it be known that all the pasta at Mimmo Ferraro's is made in the restaurant.

Other entrees include daily Fresh Seafood, tender Pollo Sorrento, Lombata Milanese which is Wisconsin Veal Chop pounded and breaded with Italian seasonings and topped with Baby Arugola, Diced Tomatoes, Shaved Goat Cheese and Truffle Oil. Another awesome new item is the Costolette Di Agnello, which is Colorado Lamb Chops marinated overnight in Balsamic Vinegar, Virgin oil, fresh Basil, Rosemary, and Garlic then grilled to your liking, Incredible! Oh, and don't forget to save room for one of their decadent desserts.
