From the warm hospitality to the delicious Italian cuisine, dining at Strings Italian Cafe is a wonderful experience! Elegant lights decorate the trees outside the restaurant and patio dining is available. Inside an inviting dining room awaits. Marco Reynoso and Roberto Ramos have catered to Strings' guests for more than 7 years. Pleasing their customers is top priority. "We will work with our guests...whatever they would like!" says Marco. He explains, "Everything is made fresh, and at the time of ordering."
The menu is varied, featuring many specialty creations. All entrees come with a choice of All-You-Can-Eat Minestrone Soup, Café Salad or Cucumber Salad, and freshly baked garlic bread. The café salad is accented with the special home-made creamy Italian dressing. A nice selection of wines and beer is available. Strings Private Label Reserve includes Chianti, Chardonnay, Merlot, and White Zinfandel.
There are many spectacular entrées. The Award Winning Trio includes Strings signature Lasagne Pastry (lasagna baked inside an onion-garlic pastry shell), Tortellini Alla Panna (veal tortellini with cream, garlic, mushrooms, Italian cheeses, smoked ham and Marsala wine) and Stuffed Mushrooms (cheese and pesto with Marinara). There are traditional pasta choices as well as pizza, cal-zones and sandwiches. Seafood selections include Salmon Nicolette (baked salmon topped with a light cream with fresh dill and capers, with a side of angel hair pasta and fresh vegetables), Cioppino (crab, shrimp, mussels, scallops and fish simmered in a zesty seafood broth), heavenly Shrimp Scampi (in garlic, white wine, lemon and butter sauce) and more. Look for the chef's daily creations. One of the most requested specials is Eggplant Dora (eggplant in Marsala wine with mushrooms and tomatoes).
Some fabulous seasonal winter dinner specials will be presented in December. The enticing and innovative choices include Pork Osso Bucco Colechino (a tender pork shrank in a Marsala wine and tomato reduction with onions, mushrooms, broccoli and roma tomatoes), Ravioli Renata (spinach and cheese ravioli enhanced with a sauce of mushrooms, green onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and garlic simmered in Marsala wine and cream) Blackened Basa Brena (delicate white fish with Cajun seasonings and blackened with penne alfredo and fresh vegetables) and Mama Nina Combo (classic lasagna and spaghetti with a meatball). For dessert, try the mouth-watering Brownie 'Lasagne' (vanilla ice cream between brownie 'lasagne' layers with chocolate and raspberry sauces and whipped cream!) or the Big Key Lime White Chocolate Cheese Brulee!
Strings specials include All-You-Can-Eat Pasta Nights on Wednesday and Sunday, free Saturday lunch for kids under ten and a 10% senior discount is offered everyday with the Silver Strings Club. Use the Strings Lunch Club to get a free entrée for every ten purchased.
Popular salad choices include the Chopped Italian Salad (salami, ham, black olives, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, romaine, onions, and roasted peppers in a light vinaigrette) and the Caribbean Salad (grilled chicken and romaine in cucumber dressing with sliced strawberries, mandarin oranges, apples, and walnuts).
